Christmas Auction - Weihnachtsauktion

Really quickly now before I have to go to "Handmade im Gepäck", an intresting exhibition in Göttingen in the "Apex". Please visit me if you can and say Hi.

 Just have to let you know that Bianca of Limetrees has an ongoing auction every day until 24 December and if I may say so today some of my things are being sold. If you are interested and want to help a good cause please visit this "Weihnachtsaktion" here.

Ganz schnell noch bevor ich zu "Handmade im Gepäck" gehe, eine Ausstellung im Apex in Göttingen. Ab 11 Uhr öffnen dort die Pforten und kommt doch vorbei und sagt Hallo. Ich würde mich riesig freuen.

Ansonsten wollte ich euch nur kurz über Biancas "Weihnachtsauktion" berichten. Jeden Tag bis zum 24. Dezember gibt es etwas zu ersteigern und alles für einen guten Zweck. Und da heute auch etwas von mir dabei ist darf ich das doch bestimmt nochmal erwähnen. Also, besucht doch auch die "Weihnachtsauktion" von Limetrees.

Advent Calendar - Adventskalender

I am late (again) but nevertheless please let me tell you about a wonderful "Advent Calendar" which is hosted by Bianca of Limetrees. It is an auction where you can buy something everyday on her blog. On December 1 it is one item. December 2 two items, December 3rd it will be three items and so on. All you have to do is go there and check what the items of the day are and then bid for it. The one with the highest bid will get the lot. Easy right? Anyway, I also donated some baubles and cards. So go ahead and visit Bianca's "Weihnachtsaktion". By the way all the profit will go to a Socal Centre in Linden, Hanover. So it is all for a good cause. One more reason to visit her right away. Oh and the bidding of the day will end midnight. I hope I explained everything correctly. Just two photos of some of the participants' donations:

Ich bin (schon wieder mal) viel zu spät dran um euch von dieser herrlichen Auktion zu berichten. Bianca von Limetrees hat sie ins Leben gerufen. Hier ganz kurz die Spielregeln von der Weihnachtsaktion bei Limetrees:

Vom 1. -24.12.2010 werden jeden Tag Artikel zum Kauf angeboten. Den Preis dafür legt ihr fest. Über die Kommentarfunktion können Gebote ab Erscheinen des Blogposts hier bei Limetrees bis Mitternacht des gleichen Tages abgegeben werden. Wer am meisten bietet, bekommt den Zuschlag. Sie Kommentare werden mehrfach am Tag freigegeben, Nachbieten ist möglich. Der Erlös aus der Versteigerung geht ans Sozialcenter Linden zur Anschaffung von (hoffentlich) zwei Nähmaschinen.

First sunday of Advent - Erster Adventsonntag

First I had to create an Advent wreath. The twigs came from the garden and the baubles from my desk.

You want to see what I did today? Returned from an inspiring stay with the one M in London and had to start right away with everything I should have done before I left - baking and decorating for today. Anyway I started out early this morning and even had some time in between to enjoy my garden. The first snow for this year and it looks really pretty. So much for now. More tomorrow. 

This is what I baked for breakfast: a "Hefezopf", my family's favourite fresh out of the oven with butter and strawberry jam.

Because I am planning another coffee morning to trade Christmas cookies I spent a good portion of the day looking through my cookbooks and magazines for recipes.

 Möchtet ihr mal sehen wie ich heute den Tag verbrachte? Nachdem ich gerade von einem sehr schönen Kurzurlaub bei the one M in London zurückgekommen bin muß ich jetzt all das nachholen, was ich vor meiner Abreise hätte tun sollen - backen und dekorieren für den 1. Advent. Also hier seht ihr ein paar Fotos von meinem Tag. Ich hatte sogar ein paar Minuten um mit dampfender Kaffeetasse und Fotoapperat in der Eiseskälte im Garten Fotos zu schießen. Der erste Schnee ist einfach unwiderstehlich. So viel für heute. Morgen mehr.

Christmas Baubles for sale - Weihnachtskugeln zu verkaufen

Just to let you know that as of today my Christmas baubles can be bought at "Local Colours" in Göttingen and at my Dawanda Shop. Will be off  to London for a few days to meet the one M. See you next week. Have a wonderful weekend and great week.

Ich möchte euch nur ganz kurz sagen, dass es ab sofort meine Weihnachtskugeln bei "Local Colours" in Göttingen (in der Barfüßerstrasse) und in meinem Dawanda Shop zu kaufen gibt. Ich mache mich heute abend auf den Weg nach London um das eine M zu besuchen. Ich sehe euch dann in einer Woche. Ich wünsche euch ein schönes Wochenende und eine ebenso schöne Woche.

I told you yesterday about this new project called "The Shutter Divas" created by Christina from "Divas and Dreams" and that we are taking photo of a certain theme every week and publish it on the blog and on flickr. This week's theme was "happiness" and here is my submission. A brush, paint and sunshine on a quiet morning all by myself is happiness to me. Hope you enjoy it.
 
Ich habe euch gestern von dem neuen Projekt "The Shutter Divas" erzählt, welches von Christina von "Divas and Dreams" ins Leben gerufen wurde.. Jede Woche sollen wir ein Foto zu einem bestimmten Thema machen und es im blog und auf flickr veröffentlichen. Hier ist mein Foto zum Thema der Woche "Was mich glücklich macht". Ein Pinsel, Farben und Sonnenschein an einem Morgen, den ich ganz alleine für mich habe. Ich hoffe, es gefällt euch.

The Shutter Divas

There is a new project that I am participating starting this week on Christina's blog "Divas and Dreams". Christina says of herself that she is a photographer, a life coach and a creative passionista. And she created this wonderful new group "The Shutter Divas". It is so exciting to be part of this that I thought I'd share it with you. Every sunday Christina will give us a theme and we will try to take photos on this theme. This week it is "Signs of Happiness". A tough one I find because there are so many things that make me happy that I don't know which one to pick. As soon as I will have decided on what my "Signs of Happiness" are I will show you.

The Shutter Divas

 Auf Christinas blog "Divas and Dreams" könnt ihr euch anschauen, bei welchem neuen Projekt ich auch mitmachen werde: "The Shutter Divas" heißt es und bedeutet, dass Christina jeden Sonntag ein Thema vorgibt, zu welchem wir Teilnehmer ein Foto machen sollen. Christina ist eine wunderbare Fotografin, die gerne ihr Wissen weitergibt und sehr inspirierend für uns alle ist. Das Thema dieser Woche heißt "Signs of Happiness". Garnicht so einfach finde ich, denn viele Dinge machen mich glücklich und eines davon auszuwählen ist schwieriger als ich dachte. Auf jeden Fall solltet ihr Christinas blog "Divas Dreams" einmal besuchen und wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr die Fotos der Teilnehmerinnen auch auf ihrer flickr-Gruppe  http://www.flickr.com/groups/divasanddreams/  ansehen. Sobald ich weiß, was ich fotografieren weill zeige ich es euch natürlich.
