Kunst und Keks - Galerie Morgenstern

Noch ein kleiner Hinweis, was es bei "Kunst und Keks" vom 24. und 25. November 2012 in der Galerie Morgenstern zu sehen geben wird. Samstag, 24. November von 14.00 bis 18.00 Uhr und Sonntag, 25.November von 11.00-18.00 Uhr. Ganz neu - Vögel auf Weihnachtskugeln aus Glas. Ich hoffe, sie gefallen euch und den Besuchern. Muß mich beeilen und weitermalen. Wir sehen uns.

Mädelsabend im La Casa in Einbeck

 

Heute erreichte mich eine Einladung zu einer Veranstaltung, die sehr interessant klingt. Im "La Casa" in Einbeck soll ein Mädelsabend für alle Mädels von 15 bis 95 stattfinden. Warum nur für Mädels werdet ihr jetzt fragen? Auf Nachfrage bei der Veranstalterin antwortete sie, dass bei Ausstellungen und Märkten die jeweils begleitenden Männer ihre Damen eher beim Schauen und Kaufen behindern durch Bemerkungen wie "Brauchst du das wiiiiiiirklich?" oder "Sowas hast du doch schon!!!!". Deshalb sind nur Mädels zugelassen. Zehn Aussteller werden ihre Kunstwerke präsentieren und ich bin dabei. Ich habe auch versprochen, dass ich Farben und Pinsel mitbringen werde um meine Aquarelltechnik vorzuführen. Für das leibliche Wohl ist natürlich gesorgt und eine Tombola wird es auch geben. Klingt das gut? Ich finde schon und würde mich über viele Besucherinnen freuen.

Today I was invited to participate at a girls' night at a centre called "La Casa" in Einbeck, not to far from where I live. Ten artists will present their art and I will bring paint and brushes to demonstrate my art. Why girls' only I asked the organizer? She said that when men accompany the ladies to fairs they have a way of preventing art to be bought that is not very nice. Remarks like "Do you really need this?" or "Don't you already have something like this?" are not helpful. So - only women from 15 to 95 are let in. There will be food and drinks and even a raffle. Does this sound interesting? It does to me and so I will be there. And I hope a lot of "Girls" will follow this invitation. I see you there then?

So heißt ein Projekt ins Leben gerufen von Chad Darnell und ich mache heute mal wieder mit. Das heißt, man macht am 12. des Monats 12 Fotos und veröffentlicht sie mit einem Link zu Chad Darnell . Mein 12ter Tag des Monats Oktober war nicht besonders ereignisreich. Trotzdem konnte ich einen Teil davon in Fotos festhalten. Hier sind meine 12 Fotos vom 12. Oktober 2011. Weihnachtskugeln - Christmas Baubles

Ja, ja es ist soweit. Ich kann es beim besten Willen nicht mehr hinauszögern. Auch wenn es draußen  25° hat und die Sonne lacht - ich bemale Weihnachtskugeln. In zwei Wochen bin ich auf dem ersten Weihnachtsmarkt und ich habe bis jetzt noch nicht eine Kugel bemalt. Bis heute. Hier schaut mal.

Yes, the time has come. Without a doubt. I cannot delay it any longer. Even though the sun is shining and we have temperatures of around 25° celsius. I have to start painting my Christmas baubles. The first fair will be in two weeks and I haven't painted a single bauble just yet. So here we go.

Advent Calendar - Adventskalender

I am late (again) but nevertheless please let me tell you about a wonderful "Advent Calendar" which is hosted by Bianca of Limetrees. It is an auction where you can buy something everyday on her blog. On December 1 it is one item. December 2 two items, December 3rd it will be three items and so on. All you have to do is go there and check what the items of the day are and then bid for it. The one with the highest bid will get the lot. Easy right? Anyway, I also donated some baubles and cards. So go ahead and visit Bianca's "Weihnachtsaktion". By the way all the profit will go to a Socal Centre in Linden, Hanover. So it is all for a good cause. One more reason to visit her right away. Oh and the bidding of the day will end midnight. I hope I explained everything correctly. Just two photos of some of the participants' donations:

Ich bin (schon wieder mal) viel zu spät dran um euch von dieser herrlichen Auktion zu berichten. Bianca von Limetrees hat sie ins Leben gerufen. Hier ganz kurz die Spielregeln von der Weihnachtsaktion bei Limetrees:

Vom 1. -24.12.2010 werden jeden Tag Artikel zum Kauf angeboten. Den Preis dafür legt ihr fest. Über die Kommentarfunktion können Gebote ab Erscheinen des Blogposts hier bei Limetrees bis Mitternacht des gleichen Tages abgegeben werden. Wer am meisten bietet, bekommt den Zuschlag. Sie Kommentare werden mehrfach am Tag freigegeben, Nachbieten ist möglich. Der Erlös aus der Versteigerung geht ans Sozialcenter Linden zur Anschaffung von (hoffentlich) zwei Nähmaschinen.

Christmas baubles - Weihnachtskugeln

 Finally I found the perfect white glass baubles to paint on with watercolours. I had been searching for years and here they are. They will go on sale this coming weekend at the "Oktobermarkt in Nikolausberg" (more about this fair here) and afterwards at "Local Colours" in Göttingen. Wish me luck that the visitors will like them and of course buy them too.

Endlich habe ich die perfekten weißen Weihnachtskugeln gefunden. Schon seit Jahren suche ich Glaskugeln, die ich mit Aquarellfarben bemalen kann und nun habe ich sie endlich erstanden. Sie werden das erste Mal auf dem "Oktobermarkt in Nikolausberg" (mehr dazu hier) zum Verkauf stehen und danach bei "Local Colours" in Göttingen. Jetzt drückt mir die Daumen, dass sie den Besuchern des Marktes gefallen und natürlich auch gekauft werden.

Bubbly Baubles III - Kugelkranz Anleitung

Finally I have managed to finish a wreath of baubles. Actually it was my son who did it for me. It is really easy to do and if you like you can check again the original explanation where I found it here at Frau Liebe or here. And now the photos. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The first wreath I had done with glass baubles. For them you have to fix the little hooks at the top to the glass bauble with glue so they won't slide off. The second wreath here I have done with plastic baubles (they don't look too bad don't they) and the hooks sat really tight.

Jetzt habe ich endlich endlich meinen Kugelkranz fertig. Na ja, eigentlich war mein Sohn so nett und hat sich damit beschäftigt. Es ist wirklich ganz einfach und leicht nachzumachen. Wer nochmal die Original-Anleitung anschauen möchte schaut hier bei Frau Liebe oder hier nach. Und jetzt einfach die Fotos zum Nachbauen. Wenn ihr noch Fragen habt, einfach kommentieren. Ich habe den ersten Kranz mit Glaskugeln gemacht und mußte deshalb die Halterungen erst mal mit Heißkleber an der Kugel fixieren. Den zweiten Kranz hier habe ich aus Kunststoffkugeln gemacht und da saßen die Halterungen richtig fest, sodass ich gleich loslegen konnte.
