Weinprobe bei KATLENBURGER - Wine Tasting at KATLENBURGER's

Am letzten Donnerstag war ich zu einer Weinprobe in der KATLENBURGER Weinstube. Ich sage nur: lecker, lecker, lecker. Wir waren zehn Frauen und hatten viel Spaß. Gut war, dass es auch kleine italienische Köstlichkeiten vom Restaurant gegenüber gab, eine wirklich gelungene Mischung. Wenn ich euch jetzt erzählen müßte, was wir alles getrunken habe würde ich versagen. Ihr müßt es einfach selbst ausprobieren.
Ich kann euch aber ein paar Fakten aufzählen: Dr. Willy Demuth gründete 1925 in seinem Heimatort Katlenburg am Harz den Fruchtsaftbetrieb Dr. Demuth,. Daraus entwickelte sich Europas größte Fruchtweinkellerei. Der kleine Markenshop befindet sich in den Räumen des renovierten Stammhauses der Gründerfamilie, wo auch die Weinprobe stattfand. Man kann dort natürlich auch alle Produkte der Firma direkt probieren und kaufen. Wir haben auf jeden Fall vieles probiert, alles Probierte für gut befunden und wir werden wiederkommen. Last Thursday I went to a wine tasting session at KATLENBURGER's, a fruit wine production company at Katlenburg nearby. The company was founded in 1925 by Dr. Willy Demuth and is still operated on the original premises. The wine tasting took place in the renovated family home now a very cosy shop and bistro. We tasted many many different fruit drinks (with alcohol all of them) and luckily had small Italien delicacies from the Italien Restaurant across the road to go with the tasting. I learned during this evening a lot about fruit wine production and that the company is Europe's biggest fruit wine producer. Anyway, everything was delicious, the evening one to remember (I was there with nine women) with lots of laughter and fun.
