Cookie Swap II - Plätzchentausch der Zweite

We had our cookie swap morning and I finally find the time to post the photos. We have met for breakfast, chatted and laughed and in the end each of us went home with cookies from each other. Our cookie swap worked and we have already planned another one for next year. We enjoyed our morning and are looking forward to next year's cookie swap. Besides quite a few have already announced to join us next year.




Der Plätzchentausch ist vorbei und ich komme endlich dazu, ein paar Fotos zu zeigen. Wir haben uns zum Frühstück getroffen, geplaudert und gelacht und am Schluß durfte sich jede von jeder ein Plätzchentüte mitnehmen. Es hat funktioniert und wir haben das Gleiche schon wieder für nächstes Jahr geplant. Und es haben sich auch noch andere gemeldet, die gerne mitmachen möchten. Schön wars und wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal.

Eggs for Christmas? - Weihnachtseier

Last weekend I went to two events in Göttingen. At Local Colours I showed my way of painting watercolours as part of Göttingen Art and at the Caritas Seniorenstift St. Paulus I had a little stall at the Christmas fair. At the fair I presented for the first time my Christmas eggs. I am a painter and I also paint on eggs. So I thought why only at Easter. Christmas scenes look just as nice on eggs as on baubles. So I decorated a small tree with feathers and pearls and my eggs. On first sight of the tree everybody said how cute and beautiful the tree was until they realized it was eggs and not baubles dangling from the twigs. Even after recognizing the eggs they found the idea interesting and best of all they bought my eggs. Now look for yourself and let me know whether you like them too. Am letzten Wochenende war ich auf zwei Veranstaltungen. Bei der einen, bei Local Colours in Göttingen habe ich im Rahmen der Veranstaltung Göttingen Art eine Malvorführung gemacht und danach war ich im Caritas Seniorenstift St. Paulus in Göttingen bei einem kleinen Weihnachtsmarkt. Beides war sehr schön und ich wollte euch gerne zeigen, was ich dort präsentiert habe. Weil ich doch Malerin bin und außerdem Eier bemale dachte ich mir, warum ich nicht auch Weihnachtsmotive auf Eier malen sollte. Ich fand das schön und habe festgestellt, dass die Idee ziemlich gut angenommen wurde. Wie ihr auf den Fotos seht, habe ich einen kleinen Weihnachtsbaum mitgenommen, fertig dekoriert mit Eiern. Jeder meinte, ach ist der schön und merkte erst beim zweiten Hinschauen, dass es Eier und keine Weihnachtskugeln waren. Meine Weihnachtseier haben sich gut verkauft und jetzt bin ich auf den nächsten Weihnachtsmarkt am 21. November in Waake gespannt. Schaut euch aber einfach mal meine Eier an und laßt mich wissen, wie sie euch gefallen. Natürlich gibt es sie auch in meinem Dawanda shop zu kaufen.

Preparations - Vorbereitungen

Tomorrow I will be at two exhibitions. Which means that I am working on finishing what I want to present. Here is a small climpse of what I will show. The finished product you will see Monday when I hopefully have a lot of photos to show. Those of you who will make it to the events tomorrow (for details look here) will see it earlier of course. Morgen sind zwei Ausstellungen und ich bin am Rotieren - na ja ganz langsam, damit nichts zerbricht. Hier einen kleinen Einblick in meiner Vorbereitungen. Das fertige Produkt seht ihr dann am Montag, wenn ich Bilder der Ausstellungen habe. Jetzt muß ich aber weitermalen. Bis Montag dann oder natürlich bis morgen, wenn ihr es schafft, vorbeizuschauen (siehe hier).

Cookie swap - Plätzchentausch

We will be swapping cookies next week. That's the idea at least. We, that is 10 friends of mine will come over for coffee and bring along 10 bags filled with their special christmas cookie (I supply the bags so that we all have the same size). Do you know that in Germany we have this tradition of Christmas cookie baking? We all have our recipes from mum, grandmother, aunt and so on which we believe are the best cookies in the world. And this is what I have asked from my friends: to bring their special cookies. This way all of us have to bake only one kind and will go home with 10 different kinds of cookies. I do hope it will turn out as planned. So if you have a special cookie recipe you don't mind sharing - send it please! I'd love to get your special recipe because I haven't decided yet on what to bake. Photos will be made and shared. Promised.


Nur eine ganz ganz kurze Meldung: ich habe einen Plätzchentauschvormittagskaffeeklatsch organisiert. Jetzt muß ich nur noch backen, damit ich euch ein paar Fotos zeigen kann. Wie das Ganze vonstatten geht? Also - 10 Freundinnen machen mit, jede backt eine Sorte Plätzchen (und zwar richtig schöne war meine Anforderung), und füllt 10 Tüten mit denselben. Die Tüten verteile ich, damit alle gleich groß sind. Und an besagtem Vormittag tauscht jeder mit jedem. Was sagt ihr: gute Idee? Alle fanden den Vorschlag prima. Riesig freuen würde ich mich natürlich über Rezepte von euch!!!!!!!!! Habt ihr irgendein tolles, prima, Oma-Mama-Tante-überliefertes todsicheres Rezept, mit dem ich ganz prima ankomme? Bitte, bitte gleich schicken. Würde mich riesig freuen. Bilder gibts dann später.

Veranstaltungen

Heute habe ich gleich zwei Termine bekanntzugeben.Bei beiden Veranstaltungen werde ich wieder Vor-Malen und auch Weihnachtskarten und kleinere Aquarelle anbieten. Ich freue mich natürlich über ganz viele Besucher und die Veranstalter selbstverständlich auch.

They were passing over our house this afternoon. Not only these but many many more. It was an unbelievable sight and sound as well.

Kanada Gänse flogen heute Mittag über unser Haus hinweg. Nicht nur die wenigen auf dem Bild sondern viel viel mehr. Es was ein unbeschreiblicher Anblick und Gesang.
